SWIS™
School-Wide Intervention Support
Developed by Founder L.S. Green and built as a sister program to ExcelPrep Schools, SWIS™ steps in when learners are failing to make progress — assuming full program responsibility across general and special education, building model classrooms, and transforming school culture from within.
fail students,
SWIS steps in.
Focused on program evaluation, staff development,
and model instruction for charter and private schools.
What SWIS™ Does Inside Your School
Program Evaluation
Comprehensive audit of general and special education programming, systems alignment, and learner outcome data to identify breakdowns and entry points.
Program Responsibility
SWIS assumes direct oversight when students are failing to make progress — taking control of instructional decisions, IEP alignment, and data systems.
Model Classrooms
SWIS builds demonstration classrooms inside partner schools, modeling precision instruction, behavior support, and interdisciplinary collaboration in real time.
Staff Development
Embedded coaching, structured training, and performance-based feedback systems that build internal capacity long after SWIS support concludes.
Built for Schools That Need More Than Consulting.
SWIS partners with charter and private schools navigating complex learner populations, leadership transitions, or systemic failure to progress — providing hands-on, embedded intervention at the program level.
Charter Schools
Mission-driven schools needing external evaluation, instructional redesign, or embedded support for diverse learner needs.
Private Schools
Independent and faith-based schools building or strengthening special education programming and learner support systems.
Schools in Turnaround
Programs under pressure to improve outcomes, meet compliance requirements, or rebuild instructional quality from the ground up.
Providers, Administration & Families
SWIS builds collaborative partnerships across the full ecosystem — service providers, school administrators, and families — aligning everyone around a unified plan for learner progress.
A Particular Lens. A Specific Population.
SWIS was not built for every school problem. It was built for a specific, underserved crisis — learners who are measurably behind and falling further, with no clear path forward inside their current program.
SWIS focuses on learners who are measurably 1.5 or more years behind grade-level benchmarks — the students most programs have stopped knowing how to serve. This is our specific and deliberate entry point.
SWIS has deep expertise in special education systems — IEP alignment, eligibility, service delivery, and the intersection of behavioral and academic need — ensuring every learner with an identified disability receives a program that actually works.
SWIS™ was forged through the direct experience of building and running ExcelPrep Schools. Every protocol is field-tested in real classrooms with real learners who were not making progress — not theorized from a distance.
Dedicated Staff. Behavior Science. Real Change.
SWIS is staffed by dedicated school program improvement specialists — not generalist consultants cycling in and out. Our team embeds inside your school with one purpose: building the instructional and behavioral infrastructure that makes progress possible for every learner.
Behavior Skills Training & Coaching
SWIS staff don’t just observe and report — they train. Using the evidence-based Behavior Skills Training (BST) model, our coaches work directly alongside instructors and interventionists to build real, fluent skill sets in the moment instruction is happening.
BST is not a workshop. It is a structured, performance-based process that moves practitioners from knowing what to do to doing it with precision — consistently, across every learner, every day.
Instruction
SWIS coaches provide clear, explicit instruction on the target skill — grounded in behavior science and aligned to your program’s specific population and goals.
Modeling
Coaches demonstrate the skill live — in your classroom, with your students. Modeling removes ambiguity and sets a visible standard for all staff.
Rehearsal
Instructors and interventionists practice in a supported environment before applying skills with learners — building confidence before competence is tested.
Feedback
Performance-specific, immediate feedback delivered in real time. SWIS coaches use action-oriented language: what happened, what to adjust, and how to do it now.
The Build Capacity
Framework™
SWIS doesn’t create dependency — it builds schools that no longer need us. The Build Capacity Framework is the architecture that makes sustainable, school-owned program improvement possible.
Independent Mastery
School staff lead instruction, coach peers, and manage data systems autonomously. SWIS transitions to periodic consultation only.
Supported Independence
Staff implement with fidelity under SWIS observation. Coaching shifts from co-teaching to feedback and troubleshooting.
Internal Leadership
Designated school staff are trained as internal coaches and program leads — sustaining BST cycles after SWIS exits.
Assessment & Entry
SWIS conducts a full program evaluation to identify skill gaps, systemic barriers, and priority targets for capacity building.
Direct Instruction & BST
SWIS staff deliver embedded BST coaching to instructors and interventionists — modeling, rehearsal, and immediate feedback.
Model Classroom
A live demonstration environment is established inside the school, providing a visible standard of practice for all staff to reference.
